Youth Ministry

The Saint Rita Youth Group Ministry is more than programs and events. Its mission is to provide a Christian community for teens and give them the opportunity to share their unique gifts with the parish and neighboring communities. Throughout the year and under the guidance of Youth Minister Julie Basil, the ministry offers several opportunities for teens to engage in faith, fellowship, and fun!

SLAM Camp is back this summer! Camp runs from Monday, June 13 - Friday, June 17 from 8:15am - 1:30pm daily. It is open to all current 5th and 6th graders. The cost of SLAM camp is $125/camper and will include a t-shirt and participation in our outings to Skyzone, the Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine, Fun'n'Stuff, and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo! We are also in need of adult chaperones and teen counselors. Adults who chaperone all 5 days of camp will receive free registration for their child, and if we do not have enough chaperones, we cannot have camp.

Mission Mondays are back! Mission Mondays are an opportunity for service and community with students from Ss. Cosmas & Damian in Twinsburg, the Church of the Resurrection in Solon, and Our Lady of Guadalupe in Macedonia. Teens will participate in meaningful service projects to serve individuals and local agencies. They will have opportunities to grow and celebrate their faith through Mass, various forms of prayer, reflection, worship, and praise. Adoration, dynamic speakers, and more will be included! This summer's Mission Monday events will take place on:

Monday, June 6 (Our Lady of Guadalupe) - Carnival Kick-off Night, 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Monday, June 13 (Ss Cosmas & Damian)

Monday, June 20 (Saint Rita Parish)

Monday, June 27 (Church of the Resurrection)

We are also in need of adult chaperones for all three service dates. If you are able to assist, please email Mrs. Julie Basil.
