Ways to Give

Your Gift Makes a Difference – Ways to Give

At Saint Rita Parish and School, we are blessed to be a stewardship community that believes in faith, generosity, and making an impact. Your support—whether large or small—touches lives, sustains our mission, and strengthens the future for generations to come.

Offertory Envelope Program – A Simple Way to Give

  • If you prefer the tradition of giving through offertory envelopes, we would love to provide them for you! You’ll receive a packet of envelopes in the mail every other month, making it easy to offer your support.
To request envelopes, email us at Lewing@stritaparish.com.

Faith Direct Automatic Giving (ACH) – Hassle-Free Generosity

  • Giving should be simple. Our partnership with Faith Direct allows you to set up secure, automatic donations—whether through your bank account or credit card. By enrolling in faith direct, you provide consistent support that helps us plan for the future.

One Time Gift - Every Gift Matters

  • A one-time donation is a powerful way to make an immediate difference. Whether you choose to support general parish needs, a special project, mission trip, or community outreach, your generosity helps serve others in faith. One-time gifts can be made in various forms, including cash, checks, online payments, or assets such as stocks or property. A one time gift can be made here Click Here.

Make a Legacy Gift - A Gift That Lasts

  • A simple and popular way to make a legacy gift is through your Will. With the help of an attorney, you specify a dollar amount, asset, or percentage of your estate that you want the Church to receive upon your death. You also have the option of naming the Church as a remainder beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of your estate.  You can find more bequest information here
  • You can also use this free tool to write a legal will in 20 minutes or less, and include the language necessary to create a bequest in your plans.

The St. Rita School Endowment Fund - Invest in the Future

  • Education is a gift that never stops giving. The St. Rita School Endowment Fund ensures that our school continues to thrive for generations to come. Monetary gifts, or “investment gifts”, are received from you by Saint Rita Parish. Your gift amount is retained in perpetuity. The interest accrued from the combined gifts of all our generous donors is made available to Saint Rita School each year through The Saint Rita School Endowment Fund. For more information please contact Mr. Eric Sikora at esikora@stritaschool.com or 440-248-1350 x105

Angel Scholarship Fund - Support Catholic Education & Get a Tax Credit

  • You will receive a 100% Ohio income tax credit, up to $750 ($1,500 if filing jointly) when you donate to this fund. Through the Angel Scholarship Fund, families can designate Saint Rita school to provide tuition assistance for Saint Rita students. The Angel Scholarship Fund helps to strengthen Saint Rita School's future in countless ways! Contributing to this fund means you get to "spend" some of the state income taxes you'd pay anyway. This is a win-win-WIN for taxpayer donors, scholarship recipients, our diocese, and Saint Rita School!

#weGIVECATHOLIC – Join the Movement!

  • Each year, #weGIVECATHOLIC unites us in a day of giving to support Catholic ministries, schools, and parishes. It’s a chance to celebrate generosity, faith, and community—together! These funds give Saint Rita the opportunity to improve our campus!

Gifts of Appreciated Assets - Give & Save on Taxes

  • Stocks, mutual funds, etc. are a wonderful way to support our parish, allowing you to avoid income taxes on the capital gains portion of your appreciated assets. You can make a charitable gift by transferring these assets to the parish. As a qualified charitable organization, we can sell the asset without any capital gains. You save on capital gains taxes – and possibly income taxes too. Your financial advisor can help explain these benefits to you.
  • Contact Mr. Roger Greene, 440-248-1350 ext. 113, rgreene@stritaparish.com for more information.

IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions - A Tax Smart Gift

  • If you are over 70 ½, you can make a simple and easy gift by donating part of your IRA’s Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) to our parish. This option allows you to fulfill any RMD and avoid paying income tax by instructing your IRA administrator to make the transfer directly from your IRA to Saint Rita.
  • Because an IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution will reduce your taxable income (for distributions up to $100,000), these gifts are not eligible for a charitable income tax deduction. Before making a decision, talk to your financial advisor and IRA custodian for more information, including changes in the tax law for the current tax year.  You will also need the parish’s Tax ID number that you can obtain by calling Mr. Roger Greene, 440-248-1350 ext. 113, rgreene@stritaparish.com for more information.

Matching Gifts – Double the Impact!

  • Did you know many companies match donations made by employees to churches and schools? Check with your HR department to see if your gift can be doubled!

Thank you for your generosity, your faith, and your commitment to making a difference. Every gift—no matter the size—helps us continue God’s work.
