People Helping People

Lent

Saint Rita Parish is thrilled to announce its Lenten Series! We welcome all to join us on a journey of repentance, fasting, and reflection as we prepare our hearts for our Risen Lord. Lent is a season of repentance and of recalling and preparing for Baptism. The goal of the season is to deepen our communal and individual awareness that God deeply loves us, and as our awareness deepens, so too do our relationships with God and one another.

Throughout Lent, we GIVE.

CRS Rice Bowls is the Lenten program for Catholic Relief Services, and Saint Rita Parish is pleased to join over 12,000 Catholic communities across the United States in a transformative Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl.

You can pick up your family's Lenten Rice Bowl beginning Ash Wednesday, February 22. During the 40 days of Lent, we will reflect on global hunger and how to take action to help our sisters and brothers impacted by this injustice. Click here to learn more...

Evening of Confession

On Wednesday, March 8, from 5:00 - 8:00pm we will host our Diocesan Evening of Confessions, where we will welcome back, in the Lord's mercy, those who have been away from the church.  As we do so, amid the worldwide Eucharistic Revival, we will expose the Blessed Sacrament for adoration from 5:00 - 8:00pm that we might pray for those returning to the Church, our parish family, ourselves and the world in need of God's mercy and love.  Come and pray for any amount of time, be in the presence of Jesus and experience the power of His mercy.

Additionally, Saint Rita Parish will host a Communal Penance Service on Tuesday, March 21 at 6:30pm.

Throughout Lent, we LEARN and LISTEN.

Youth Group Lenten Discussion

On Sunday, February 26, youth in grades 8-12 will enjoy dinner while discussing about ways they can grow through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving this Lent. There will also be a blanket making service activity! Click here to learn more.
