The ministry includes parishioners who assist the suffering and needy in our community. Assistance is offered through personal contact of those in need. The group also works with Catholic shelters in the diocese, Womankind, and other charitable service groups.
The members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Saint Rita Parish host several programs throughout the year, including:
- managing the Saint Rita Parish food pantry on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month
- serving a hot meal every other month
- managing the food and clothing banks monthly at the Ozanam Center
- providing food and financial assistance to those in need locally and semi-annually
