Saint Rita Parish continues to provide God's love and support to the Family Promise families through regular mission-style visits, meals, donation drives, and planned events. Family Promise of Greater Cleveland helps homeless families transform their lives by providing temporary housing and family stability services. Family Promise keeps all types of families together during the crisis of homelessness and provides individualized blends of services during and after their stay to help the families achieve long-term stability. There are currently 21 homeless families living at the Family Promise shelter.
On Saturday, May 20, Saint Rita Parish will host a "Nourish" meal packaging event to provide supplemental meals for families in need at the Family Promise Center. Members of the ministry are looking for volunteers to bring prepared food (serving size for 10 adults) as well as volunteers to help package the food into individual food containers. The meals will be delivered to the Family Promise shelter for distribution.
For volunteers providing prepared food - Sign up for dishes to serve, and please bring food ready to eat but cold. Drop off food on Saturday, May 20 at 9:45am at the Saint Rita Parish Family Room.
For volunteers packaging food - Sign up to package food at the Saint Rita Parish Family Room on Saturday, May 20, from 10:00am to 11:30am.
