Saint Rita Parish continues to provide God's love and support to the Family Promise families through regular mission-style visits, meals, donation drives, and planned events. Family Promise of Greater Cleveland helps homeless families transform their lives by providing temporary housing and family stability services. Family Promise keeps all types of families together during the crisis of homelessness and provides individualized blends of services during and after their stay to help the families achieve long-term stability. There are currently 21 homeless families living at the Family Promise shelter.
Join fellow Saint Rita Parishioners to "Deck the Halls for Family Promise". It’s a wonderful opportunity to share the Christmas Spirit with families in need at the Family Promise homeless shelter. There are 21 housing units at the shelter and our goal is to provide all the families with Christmas decorations that can be used at the shelter and that they can take with them when they move to more permanent housing. Something they will enjoy this Christmas and for years to come! Please take a moment to open your hearts and provide decorations for the families. Special thank you to St Rita's Prayer Quilt Ministry for creating all the beautiful, handmade Christmas tree skirts for "Deck the Halls for Family Promise".
After you have signed up and purchased your selected donations, please drop them off at the Saint Rita Family Room after any of the masses on Saturday, November 12 or Sunday, November 13 or on Tuesday, November 15 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm. Please observe these important drop off dates/times - we deliver the decorations to the Family Promise shelter immediately following the donation drive. If you need to arrange a different date/time, please email the Family Promise Ministry.
Thank You and Merry Christmas to All!
