What is Family Promise? Family Promise is a non-profit agency that offers shelter with a wide-range of social services for families in need. Families reside free of charge for an average of 90 days in the shelter program. During this time, social workers assess the families individual needs to develop their unique plan to housing and sustainability. The shelter accommodates 21 families at one time and strives to maintain full occupancy as families arrive and eventually move out into affordable housing.

How does Saint Rita Support Family Promise? Since 1999, Saint Rita Parish has supported Family Promise through special events and donation drives.

Upcoming Saint Rita Family Promise Events

Join Saint Rita parishioners to "Deck the Halls for Family Promise!" It’s a wonderful opportunity to share the Christmas spirit with families in need at the Family Promise homeless shelter. There are 21 housing units at the shelter and our goal is to provide all the families with Christmas decorations that can be used at the shelter and that they can take with them when they move to more permanent housing. Please take a moment to open your hearts and provide decorations for the families. Special thank you to Saint Rita's Prayer Quilt Ministry for creating all the beautiful, handmade Christmas tree skirts!
