 Bible Study 

 

THURSDAY DECEMBER 8th: We will attend Mass as a group in place of our Bible Study, for the Holy Day of Obligation. 

 

Meets every Thursday 7:00-8:00 in The SPACE.  
This month we will  be focus on Advent themes.

 

No need to register, and no worries if you can't come every week! Come as your schedule allows, and feel free to bring a friend.

Catholic Heart Workcamp

We have begun with fundraisers and have had our first informational meeting.  Very few spots are still availble. Parents' Night Out Fundraiser

Parents' Night Out

 

Help out some parents who need a little time away from their kids to get some Christmas shopping done and help raise some money for the CHWC trip.  We will serve dinner, help the kids make crafts, play games, and of course St. Nick will be there. Even if you are not attending CHWC and would like to come for service hours we would love to have you!

12 Days of Christmas Kick-Off

 Back by popular demand!! (From both the elderly and home bound we visit and you guys!)

 Give the gift of love and hope to our homebound and elderly parishioners by visiting them on the 12 days leading to Christmas.  Don't worry if you aren't available to visit everyday. We will form groups of 3-5 students so you can arrange visits according to your schedules. You can sign up as a group or individually.  Some days you will be able to visit and other days will be simply leaving the gift of their doorstep. 

It is very important that you attend the kick-off  if you plan on being part of 12 Days to get instructions and a gifts to deliver each day.  Breakfast will be served.  Please contact a YES team member or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots.  Come join the party! Help the kids from the center make Christmas presents for their families, bring down the backpacks filled with supplies by our RUSH kids and share the hope of Advent.  We will carpool from St. Rita at 12:30 am and return by 4:30.  Please e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. The following service leadership teams plan, organize and run some of the programs and events for high school teens at St. Rita. Each has it's own emphasis so you can choose what fits your interests:

Respect Life Team 
Help create a culture of life. Choose and lead monthly discussions on a range of topics dealing with the dignity of life  with the option of attending The March to Life trip to Washington DC. 

Spring Retreat Team
Plan and lead the annual retreat. 

YES Team (Youth Engaging Seniors)
Learn about the needs of the elderly and plan and lead projects to assist them (Fall and Spring clean-up, 12 Days of Christmas)

CHWC Team (Catholic Heart Workcamp)
Plan events and fundraisers for the summer service trip

Breakfast LinC Team
Meet to discuss topics of our faith and plan and lead the Sunday breakfast discussions.

Souper Bowl of Caring Team
Educate yourself and others about the issues of poverty and plan and lead a service project to help.
