| The Community Life Commission consists of dedicated parishioners who work to build up the community of St. Rita Parish through various social/community events and activities. Events are planned with the intention of meeting the needs of the intergenerational family of St. Rita Church. It is the hope of the commission that parish members will develop a better sense of belonging to the parish family by socializing and participating in the activities offered by Community Life. |

| Perhaps the most well known activity sponsored by the Community Life Commission is the weekly coffee and donuts social after the 7:15, 8:45 and 10:30 AM Masses on Sundays. Various parish groups, such as the Ladies Guild, the MOMS Group, Social Concerns, Parish Pastoral Council, PTU and the Empty Nesters, volunteer their services to host the popular coffees. |

| Community Life Commission regularly sponsors a special event each season of the year. The Parish potluck is held on Shrove Tuesday in preparation for Lent. In the spring all women and their siblings, children and grandchildren are invited to participate in an old-fashioned Sunday Tea. The summer brings the Parish Picnic, which is a fun-filled afternoon for all. The proceeds from the picnic help to cover expenses for the other programs throughout the year. In the fall, the parish Clambake offers parishioners the opportunity to celebrate this traditional event within our St. Rita family. Community Life also plans and prepares the receptions held after the Sacrament of Confirmation. |
